Just like any other sport, body building has its merits and demerits. It is not a perfect sport and those who venture into it can dearly confess it. Every one who ventures in this business has his/her own way of doing it and always has a reason for the same. Studies have shown that most of the people who try body building are either using the sport to achieve a better body appearance or are doing it for competition purposes. But risks will always be there in body building as many people try to even force the natural way of body build up and try out techniques that make them prone to the injuries.
Body building is an extreme activity and a sport that the people who practice tend to often overdo in the pursuit of speeding up the growth and build up of muscles either to impress or in meeting the deadline for the competition. In this case the dangers are mostly associated to the competitors; they are very much desperate and end even taking dangerous steps with their knowledge but opting o risk. One thing you should realize is that body building is not an avenue to gamble, with any underestimation or neglect of some issues that you may call not important, you can easily destroy all that you have built for a long time.
Over-working the body can at time be very serious; this is to the body health, and also the appearance in the long run and at life stages later. It is good to have a fat build up of muscle mass but also this leads to over-stretch in the skin, and eventually stretch marks appear making your body appear non proposition in the later stages when you eventually stop exercising a flabby skin will be observed and this makes your appearance not appealing at all. Let body building be a gradual process in order for all the parts of the body to adopt and adjust.

When one chooses body building they adopt a diet that they have to strict to, at times some body builders choose a dangerous diet and they starve making their bodies strain in maintaining its own metabolism. Others adopt diet that are not balanced and hence lack of balanced diets leads to some critical diseases. To others they quit body building for very many reasons and hence they forget their diets and start feeding heavily on their former diets which may involve a lot of fats and in not time they gain fats and adopt plump bodies.
Body building uses a lot of energy and this is what the body requires a lot. Cases have been reported when some people collapse through fainting and at time die due to exhaustion of the body. Water is one of the major important constituents in the body and when it becomes in adequate it leads to exhaustion and at times fainting. For a person trying body building it is always advisable to carry water with you when doing the practice, also one can take some supplements such as glucose to add to their body energy being used.
